Here Ye Here Ye

Here are the details of the Cantelowes official opening via Cantelowes website:
FRI 6TH APRIL (Depending on weather - we can't control the rain)
OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE SKATEPARK

The schedule looks like this...
10am - 11am: Under 16's ONLY, Ribbon Cutting and Press Photos
11am - 12pm: BMX warm up (Street), Skate warm up (Bowls)
12pm - 1pm : BMX warm up (Bowls), Skate warm up (Street)
1pm - 3pm : Best Trick / Jam session (BMX and Skating on rotation, managed by MC)
3pm - 4pm : Best Trick Final (as above)
5pm - 8.30pm : OPEN SESSION
8.30pm - 9pm : Clearing up! (Help welcome, particularly with clearing up the bodies from in the cradle!)

There will be music to fuel the proceedings, along with Council related activities in the big footy pitch.

Well Cantelowes is getting done really quickly at the moment and I have spoken to Jeremy and Hareth (2 of the designers that have created the new Cantelowes) this week and currently the official opening date is going to be Good Friday (Apr. 6 2007).

Well it's coming along.

Some more photos of Cantelowes, hopefully it won't be much longer untill it can be skated, places to go skate in the meantime that are near to Camden are Swiss Cottage (in the Leisure Centre the water feature has been drained), The new Arsenal Stadium (marble blocks) and Finsbury Park.

Boma dropped a new free magazine by the name of Trisickle the other day. This issue features a guide to UK indoor skateparks, interviews with Sean Goff, Sam Beckett and Mark Burrows, a hidden spot guide for north London and much more.
